 Lab Management Policy Statement

It is the policy of North Star BlueScope Steel LLC to maintain standards of recognized laboratory practices that meet or exceed industry standards.
We are committed to providing our customers dependable results and by maintaining these standards we intend to ensure the quality of our testing and the calibration of our equipment. The objectives of the quality system are to:

  1. Establish procedures to be able to provide required test results within a reasonable time to support all production process and customer delivery requirements.
  2. Monitor and maintain the quality of our test results through regular proficiency testing and measurement system analyses.
  3. Establish processes to provide informational test results as requested by our customers.

These objectives will be reviewed during the annual management review. We are also committed to a Laboratory Management System that is effectively communicated and understood by all concerned personnel, conforms to recognized material and legal standards, and provides the foundation for high standards of workmanship and precision. North Star BlueScope Steel LLC management is committed to compliance with ISO/IEC 17025:2005 and continually improving the effectiveness of the management system.
